The Low Down on Mary Logan
Mary Logan is is a writer, performer, activist, and creative through and through. As a recent graduate of the University of Virginia, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Drama and African American and African Studies, she continues to reside in Charlottesville as a local actor and playwright. During her time at UVA she produced four 10-minute plays and one full length, I Am My Mother's Daughter, through the UVA Drama Department, as well as her short film Swiper. She has also adapted and directed an audio drama surrounding Black womanhood and bodily autonomy in She Wrote Plays with WTJU and UVA Drama. As an actor, she was most recently Miss Lynn Gardner in Spectrum Theatre's production of Carrie the Musical. She finds the most peace creating pieces surrounding life experiences as a Black woman and the importance of human connection, whether that be with your friends, your enemies, or even yourself.
